thinking of moving on for a change
i'm sick of using pitas when i don't even know how to attach pictures and blah blah blah.
I'm sick of typing < br > whenever i need to create another space. Do i need to do that for blogspot? I'm sick of asking another friend to help me do any editing when i need any to be done. Besides, i think i have offended a friend with what i've said. I kinda knew it myself but i was feeling sucky that day and pride prevented me from apologising. Yeap, i know what i wrote sucks and i erhz.... i .... erhz... it's kinda hard for me to do that you know when pride is drownin me over here. Hope she will get over it as soon as possible. Take care.

I'm going to log off now. I think i will try to start a blogspot account. Thanks for reading my blog, everyone of you, although i know it's bullcrap but it motivated me to go on.

Goodbye for now.

Why like that?
One of the thing i do not like to see is Christians flaming others for not observing the rules of the bible. I'm being very careful with my words here as i do not hate Christians or whatsoever as some of my pretty good friends are Christians.

You know how some would say "God didn't want us .." "God would do this if you .... " "God this and that". In other words reasoning with the word of God or ... some would even say preaching. I just don't like it when they preach with words like "fucking burn you in hell", "eat shit" , "strike you with lightning" (and i thought only zeus does that).

Why can't they practice more tolerance for other religions like Buddhism? (i'm not saying Buddhism is all good)Why must they force their religion on others? (I know it's got spreading the gospel... like you have good news and you would like to share it with as many as possible) Buy can't you be a little more sensitive towards to what you say to other people?

By the way, i might be wrong to even say these people are Christians.. They might be something else....

tuesdays
After taking MT, i realise i have a lot of spare time up my sleeves. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays are FREE DAYS. Did i forget to include my weekends as well? That's right! Don't be too envious, after all this is my final year to slack like shit.

Today we talk about the .. discrimination ? procrastination ? or free will? What do you guys want to hear?

I guess i'm going to talk about free will. Is there truly free will? Do we really have the freedom to act in the capacity we deem fit? Is freedom for real or are we all constrained in this big crystal globe free to do whatever we are so long as we do not go out of the globe. (I can already vividly imagine some of you picking up this crystal globe, giving it a hard shake to watch the snow flakes scattering all over).

If we truly had the freedom to choose what we want to do, would we all be better off? Would it mean stripping away all punishments for the guilty on the account that they were merely acting on free will? Does free will also mean utopia?

Wanna know what i feel? I think free will exists when you are acting for others.... not for yourself... For the sake of everyone and not for selfish reasons. You are free to do whatever it takes to make others happy. On decisions which affect yourself, you are suppose to let the "acting for others" take precedence. Meaning to say, if it doesn't affect the happiness of others, you are free to do what you want and how you want.
This again brings us back to the fact that we live for others, not for oneself.

With that, i conclude my entry.

Tuesday, May 9, 2006 04:54 p.m.

why oh why
why can't i force myself to study in the day? Why oh why?

Why can't i just open my books and start reading? Why oh why?

Why can't i bring myself to do the right thing? Why oh why?

Why am i not able to resist temmptations? Why oh why?

Why am i even updating this blog? Why oh why?

Gay Love?
Before i continue with my entry, i would like to emphasize that i am not a GAY. Don't jump into conclusions k, imagine... Ralph would make a lousy gay with his cannot-be-bothered attitude. Some girls actually say that i'm a MCP, a loser and ugly. (no, that's not true, i'm just being EXTREMELY humble)

Okay, back to the entry. Recently i read this rather interesting and "astonishing" blog which changed my perception. I have to admit that before reading that particularly blog, i was among the guilty ones that they have singled out. Yes, when i see gay couples out in the street holding hands, i would whisper to my friend and point. Now i feel really mean for doing so.... Why?

http://colinandkero.blogspot.com/

After reading the entries, i truly believe that love exists everywhere, yes... even in gay couples. After reading how much they had to go through as a couple made me realised how much society bias, parental pressure and loss of friendship they had to endure just because they happen to "different". Are they really different? Do they really deserve such attention from the public for doing things like holding the hands of their loved ones?

Now before i go on and on about protecting their rights or dignity i ask myself "would i be able to practice what i preach? Would i be able to not make such a commotion when i see a gay couple out in the streets?" After reading their blog, i most certainly do intend to try not to succumb to finger pointing.

Now moving on to the topic of nature vs nurture. I believe that gays are born gays. It's something out of their control because i believe that nobody would want to go through such pressures of being gay in this conservative society. I'm sure if given a choice, no one would want to go through what these 2 are going through now. We should all practice tolerence on others who are different from us, especially in this multi racial society we live in. Tolerence means accepting others who do not share the same views, ideas and opinions. Therefore it is okay if some of you who reads this say "this is bullcrap!". I do not expect all of you to change your perception after reading this cos .. hey, i took 1 whole day before my perception took a shift. (1 whole day reading the blog and thinking about it)

If you read further, you might observe many flaming comments as well as comments of encouragement for their bravery. Personally i think it's a good thing that they posted such a blog because it made me changed my perception. I believe that moving on, they will be able to change many like myself into acceptance as well as tolerance of their kind.

Of course there are also many criticisms on that blog.

1. Both of them are way too young to know what love really is. This is directed to their mushy language that they use. It's very schoolgirlish (a word coined by a female for the females hahaha anyone of you still schoolgirlish?) Going back, some of you might actually wonder if these kids had an overdosage of korean romance drams cos they are so "generous" with their "love" language.

2. This is connected to the first point. Being 17 year old hot blooded kids, it's no wonder that they are so mushy. (i think only ah.. cos personally i think teenagers tend to be mushier than adults. Why? Cos adults care too much about "face" think about it) Also, as many of you would realise that this r/s that they share is barely 1 month old, so they are still what many people like to call it, the "honeymoon" stage. Characteristics of the "honeymoon" stage includes being super romantic, super caring and super concern for the others, putting the other before oneself. When this stage ends, (normally around 6 months) both parties would start demanding more and giving less. (subjected to variances)

3. It pays to be good looking. Coincidentally one of the guys have been blessed with eyes girls would die for and the other has such nice skin that again girls would die for. I'm sure it would be harder to accept them if one of them has man tits and the other.. fake boobs? Saying all that, i'm sure most of you (esp the girls would melt after reading their blog because they are really quite sweet. Some of you might scoff at it thinking "this is true love meh?" But i chose to give them the benefit of the doubt. I believe that people who share so much love for each other should not be condemned by society, should not be subjected to the scrutiny of public eyes.

Hey, People, You've Gotta Drive Hybrids Already
Just caught another episode of sothpark and i came across this catchy song! Below are the lyrics! Anyone of you who wants to listen to the actual song, either download season 10 Episode 2 of Southpark or ask me for the wav file~

Come on now, people now people now
People now, come on now, people now
Got to drive hybrids, people now
People now, people now, people now
Hybrids are for people now, people now
Group of people driving people now
Get a hybrid, be good people now.

We have all got to be people now
People-driving-hybrid people now
People now, people now, hybrid now
Hybrid-people-driving people now.

Come on, people, let's be people now
Hybrid-people-driving people now
Come on, everybody be people now
It's so catchy that i have even included it as my ring tone. I wonder if anyone still reads my blog... No matter, i guess i'll just use it as an online diary. These days, i have been hooked on a slacker's lifestyle. My daily routine starts with waking up at 12 noon, playing my game (suikoden 3) and maybe after a few hours later, when my stomach starts to grumble, i'll proceed to buy some packet lunch at around 4-5pm.

When i get a little sick of pressing the controls on my joypad, i would start on a movie. yeap, i just came back from my jb trip so i've stocked up on my ..... supplies.

Sometimes i wonder if i'm a lazy bum who do not contribute to society. ahah. I know..... it's ironic cos if there is this though lingering in my mind, why am i still doing nothing about it? In fact, i have been staring into the tube for so many hours each day that i am beginning to worry about my eyesight. I am blessed with near perfect eyesight and i certainly hope it will remain this way at least for the next 10-15 years after old age finally settles in.

Moving on to my "hectic" schedule, i would maybe watch a movie which would take around 2 hours. After that, i would take a short break from the tv and divert my focus on my laptop. (thank gawd LCDs aren't as deadly to the eyes as CRTs) By then, it would be close to 10 and i would start to feel hungry again. It would be time for my "dinner". After that i would either resume to my game, catch another movie or watch my anime. I wonder if this is what they call retirement?? Maybe when i hit old age, i would be playing ps15 ? ? ?

luckily i stayed at home the whole day. slept a lot of hours. maybe i should change the title of my blog to "sleeping is my virtue" haha

lazy weekend
i just went through a lazy weekend. Last friday i bumped into the 3 musketeers (female ones) when i was on my way to the gym. that was a lazy day. As i took heavy steps to the gym, i was yawning away. So lazzzy! I was trying to psycho my friends into changing their minds about going to gym, and to go for a nice meal instead. One of them felt the same way too... but knowing that fat boys (more like men actually) need to exercise, we took it like real men and went to work some weights. I increased by running by 400m to 2.8km. I think i need to run 3.2km next Friday.

Come Saturday, i went to Bugis and bought myself 2 ties for $60. FT is really costing me! And students always complain about expensive textbooks.... Saturday night was old movies night. I watched Indiana Jones and the raiders of the lost ark, Indiana Jones and the temple of doom. I was halfway through Indiana Jones and the last crusade when i succumbed to sleep. It was roughly about 5am.

This brings me to the topic of old movies. How many of you like old movies? I'm not talking about the black and white ones of coz. That's too much for an old geezer like myself to take it. I like old movies. I would love to spend my Saturday nights at home, on a nice couch, watching old movies when i start working. (is that possible?) Well, i know my gf doesn't really like watching movies, let alone old ones. Maybe i'll watch them alone for now......

thanks pap!
today i open up my letter box and receive a pleasant surprise! $700 from our beloved Ministry of Finance. Also not too sure why, think there was a budget surplus so the government wishes to share the wealth with us. Luckily i am only a student, if i was a working adult, i would curse and swear because here i am paying income tax, there the government is, distributing my wealth to others.

For that, i give thanks! => although it won't be very long before i step into the working society....

Lazy Sunday
Just caught 2 old movies on this lazy Sunday. In my opinion, Sundays are meant to be used for staying at home, lazing on a couch and watching old time favorites.

I saw Silence of the Lambs & The Usual Suspects. These 2 are classics and I believe many of you would have already seen them. As many great movies are, these 2 movies, especially the latter have plenty of great lines.

Now Silence of the Lambs is a dark gloomy movie where a serial killer hunts Dinos (for those who do not know the meaning of this word, check with my fat-discriminating friend, Lance). The reason why he only targets dinos is because he wishes to use their skin to sew a body suit for himself. I know that sounds really sick but the fellow playing the serial killer, “buffalo bill” isn’t as scary as the crime he is committing. He has the tendency to address his victims with “It” because he thought of his victims as objects rather then people. Below is an excerpt of the conversation with his final victim.

Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb: It rubs the lotion on its skin. It does this whenever it is told.
Catherine Martin: Mister... my family will pay cash. Whatever ransom you're askin' for, they pay it.
Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb: It rubs the lotion on its skin or else it gets the hose again. [to his dog, Precious]
Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb: Yes, it will, Precious, won't it? It will get the hose!
Catherine Martin: Okay... okay... okay. Mister, if you let me go, I won't - I won't press charges I promise. See, my mom is a real important woman... I guess you already know that.
Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb: Now it places the lotion in the basket.
Catherine Martin: Please! Please I wanna go home! I wanna go home please!
Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb: It places the lotion in the basket.
Catherine Martin: I wanna see my mommy! Please I wanna see my...
Jame "Buffalo Bill" Gumb: Put the fucking lotion in the basket!

As for the second movie, there was this one famous line which I find most interesting.
Verbal: The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.
Verbal: And poof. Just like that, he's gone.
Yeap, I spent my entire Sunday napping, watching movies and jogging. Oh did I mention jogging? You guys must be really surprised! Ya, I’ve started jogging recently, on a more regular basis. No choice…. =/ If I wish to lose weight, I need to exercise regularly. After all, no pain, no gain!

tarot cards
just bought a set of tarot cards recently, using the kino vouchers that was given to me on my b-day by the new exco of my club. so nice of them.... =>

well, i started out by doing a reading for myself and this is what the cards are telling me.

In the Past
relatively well-to-do kid who saw himself as a hard working one.

Currently
Everything is in place for success to come so do not be afraid to take risks.

Upcoming
I will meet a great leader to work under who would bring me to great victory

Outcome
I will live life alone .... as a hermit.. withdraw from everyone .. enforced isolation...

Do i think the ending is sad? Seriously, at this point in time, i really do not know. Life as a hermit do not send chills to my bones neither does it have any impact on my eating habits. Maybe i don't know how bad isolation is. Maybe at this point in time, loneliness is not present so i wouldn't know how sad it can be.

Well now, want me to read your fortune?

good food
good food tastes really goooooood!

I was just eating cream pasta with prawns and minced meat and fried prawn fritters...and as i was sinking my teeth into them, i thought to myself... "wah... this tastes really gooooooood!!!!"

In fact, it felt sooooo good that within minutes, everything was gone ! I was a little surprised that the food vanished just like that! (consumed by me)

Now comes the million dollar question....
Would you give up your sense of taste for 1 million dollars????

A million dollars when kept in the bank will comfortably provide you with $30,000 of interest a year. can even apply for credit card! If used prudently, you wouldn't need to worry about money for the rest of your life. Hmmz maybe not for the rest of your life but you never have to worry about not earning enough money.

however, if one were to lose one's sense of taste, everything will taste bland in one's mouth forever. No longer will choosing what to eat be a form of joy to you. Yes... all your fav food will taste like paper... chocolates will taste like paper, xiao long bao will taste like paper, nasi lemak will taste like paper... you get the point....

so would you?

part 2
It's very important to mingle and talk with your colleagues. If not, you will never get the whole truth of working in the company. questions like "are you happy working here?" "how is the lifestyle here? " "if there is a better opportunity out there, will you move on ? "

first day of work
Inspired by my gal pal’s interesting post on internship, I thought I would do a guy’s version on my blog.

Dos

1. Do dress appropriately, especially for the first day of work. Unlike girls, we have guys have it easy. It’s fairly simple, really~ it’s really hard to go wrong when you are a guy. First of all, it’s a must to wear a long sleeved shirt. Unlike girls who have a deep burning desire to dress as flashy as possible, we are the total opposites. We try to dress as dull as possible. Simple plain shirt if you are afraid of going really wrong, black pants to match with every single shirt you might own, left over black socks from SAF, and black shoes for easy matching. The trickiest part is the tie. Now most people know nuts about matching ties to their shirts, neither do I. ahahaha! But to play safe, always try to get your tie to contrast against your shirt. Make sure it’s plain yet draws attention, simple yet sophisticated. In case you didn’t realise, I’m trying to act “stylo” here. After people read my blog, they might think “ralph is damn creative… how come that bitch christina lee gave him a B-?”

Get a brown or blue tie to match a white shirt. Get a black tie to match a brown shirt. Get a striped blue and white tie to match a blue shirt. As you can see from my selection, I’m actually a plain guy. I own 4-5 pairs of black pants and strictly stick to black shoes.

Now the question comes…. Why choose to be plain? Well, I’m not too sure about it either. But from what I observe, guys are already very charming to begin with. If we were to overdress and let our charms ooze out, the ladies might go out of control and might even start wolf whistling at us.

Ok, I’ll stop here and let you all puke to death. Haha!

why i hate horror....
just played a game online... it was one of those kind where you have to maneuver your mouse ... controlling a dot, making sure you move the dot to the final destination without touching on the walls...
should have smelt a rat when they put "sound effects will help" ...was playing half way when i accidentally bumped my dot against the wall. This triggered a scary scene of the girl from the exorcist with those eerie sound effects.

okay i admit... i was scared... shitless~
I hate horror stuff!!! It has been years since i last caught a horror movie. My feeling on this is that why pay to scare yourself.. Scary movies these days make use of sound effects.... sudden movements....

ok time to go visit my friends~ collect red packets ~ byebye

first entry of this page~ damn excited!!!
hello!

today i would like to thank a friend of mine. She is Xin Yi! She helped me archive all my previous entries and create a chatterbox. So nice of her! I shall make it an aim to find her a nice bf!

Moving on, today was a pretty long day. I started with a project meeting at 1130 and ended with a club meeting at 10pm. =< So tired....

When i got home, i received a "bomb" from my sister. Apparently, she claims that there is something wrong with my pc. She couldn't enter internet explorer and her tone of the voice wasn't very pleasant. It was the typical " WHY LIKE THAT? ?!?!? "
After a long day, i couldn't be bothered to say nice things. I replied "You should know better! the last time i used it, it was okay! "
She proceed to say "i only installed a few msn games"

"AH HAH! No wonder! Damn it...." stupid sister.....

oh wait a minute~ shit! i'm not suppose to curse and swear too much~ Rhinestones went to place my link on her site. This means pple from my school might be reading this.... and might see me as a fouled mouth rascal.... zip....

So many things in my head.... i'm so afraid i might forget them all... better blog it down..
1.)check the status of the budgets for Patron's Day with ACF
2.)Make sure i finish my Neogotiation Journal by this Weekend
3.)make a call to my dentist to confirm the appointment date
4.)Go through science exploration notes for the experiment to be conducted on Tuesday
5.)Remember to buy origami paper for the club
6.)Remember to ....

I think that's all for now...
till then,
